NEW COMMANDER IN AUSTRALIA (N.Z.P.A. Special Aust Correspondent) (Rec. 7 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Apl. 30. Rear-admiral P. Koenraad has been appointed deputy-commander of the Netherlands forces in the East and commander of all the Netherlands forces in Australia. He succeeds Rearadmiral F. W. Coster, former head of the Netherlands East Indies Purchasing Commission in Australia, who has been transferred lo other war work. Rear-admiral Koenraad commanded the naval base in Sourabaya during the battle for the Netherlands East Indies.
