VICE-ADMIRAL HARWOOD LONDON, Apl. 28. Vice-admiral Sir Henry Harwood, who commanded the British naval forces in the South Atlantic when the German pocket battleship Graf Spee

was destroyed off South America, has, on medical advice, relinquished his appointment as Commander-in-Chief in the Levant and has returned to Britain. He has been succeeded temporarily by Vice-admiral Sir Ralph Beatham.
