OTAGO WOMEN’S CLUB

The Civic Circle of the Otago Women’s Club held its first meeting of the year on Wednesday afternoon, when Mrs W. B. Taverner presided over a good attendance of members. Mrs Taverner referred to the loss the circle had suffered in the death of Mrs Rennie, who had been an active member for a number of years. The speaker for the afternoon was the Rev. Professor J. A. Allan, who gave an address on “ The Spirit of Anzac.” Mrs Wakefield Holmes, on behalf of the circle, thanked Professor Allan for his address.
