PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY

The Southland Racing Club's winter meeting, clashing with the final day at Riccarton, has lost some of the horses that raced at Riverton. Nevertheless, a good card has been obtained, and the meeting should prove an all-round success. The following may be among those fancied for their engagements:—
