AUSTRALIAN BUTTER

THE ESTIMATED OUTPUT (Rec. 7 p.m.) SYDNEY, Apl. 30. Australia's butter output for the year ending June 30, 1943, is estimated.at 178.867 tons. This compares with 169.454 tons in the previous year, and 211.987 tons in the year 1939-40. The Commonwealth has contracted to supply Britain with 70,000 tons of butter and 10,000 tons of dry butterfat during the year ending June 30. Until March 31 exports totalled 51,120 tons.

Cheese production for nine months was 31,105 tons, and exports for the same period totalled 9510 tons. Production for the financial year is estimated at 36.555 tons, compared With 29,798 tons for 1941-42.
