RAIDS OVER BURMA
SUPPLY BARGES DAMAGED RUGBY, Apl. 28. An Indian war communique states: There is nothing to report on the land fighting. Yesterday R.A.F. Beaufighters attacked factories and road and river transport in Burma. A number of supply barges and a doubledecked steamer were damaged, and at one factory a boiler house blew up. Blenheims, escorted by Hurricanes, bombed a Japanese supply dump at Akyab and an enemy-occupied village at the end of the Mayu Peninsula. From these operations all our aircraft returned. '
