OTAGO WINTER SHOW
The Otago Agricultural and Pastors Society will hold its annual Winter Shov during the first week in June,. openinr on Friday, June 4, and continuing til June 9. All the usual competition sections will be included, with the addition of a garden vegetable section, for which it is hoped to obtain entries from many farmers’ wives. Many entries for tire dairy factory and wool sections have already been received, and prospects are good for other sections, except perhaps in knitting and baking, which may be affected by war-time restrictions. The model engineers have alreadv commenced building their exhibit, and the society is endeavouring to arrange for several other exhibits, such. as a forestry display by the Dunedin City Corporation and an irrigation scheme model of Hawea Flat. There will be a display of military equipment, and a large number of posters from the Department of Information will be shown The Dunedin Horticultural Society will hold its Winter Show during the course of the A. and P. Show, and the Fanciers’ Club show will, also be hem, does being shown on the Friday and Saturday and birds and fowls on the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
