CHANGEABLE WITH SHOWERS Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington Moderate to strong winds from a westerly quarter; weather changeable, With some scattered showers, chiefly in the south; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook. —Cold and changeable, with passing showers. Weather in Dunedin.—Fine, though overcast, weather, with warm temperatures, was experienced on Thursday. There was a light breeze from the northeast. The barometer was steady. The weather yesterday morning was mild, but in the afternoon there were heavy showers of rain. The barometer fell until noon, when it commenced to rise sharply, and the reading at midnight was 29.57 inches (1001 millibars).
