CITY FIRE CALLS

The Central Fire Brigade answered an automatic false alarm from McLeod Bros.’ box factory in Ward street at 12.34 p.m. yesterday, and at 4.14 p.m. extinguished a gorse fire in Arnold street, North-East Valley. At 7.55 last night the South Dunedin Brigade attended a grass fire near Park terrace. A chimnev fire in Arthur street was extinguished by the City Brigade at 820 p.m., and at 9.26 p.m. it received a similar call to Heriot row.
