LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

Ravensbourne Branch.—Mrs Cairney presided. Mrs McPherson read a chapter from the Bible and Mrs Newey submitted the following thought: “ O pray with all your hearts that war may cease, and who knows, but God will hear your prayer.” The Dominion Conference, held in Wellington in November, was reported on by Mrs Jones, the provincial secretary. Musifcal items were contributed by Mesdames Newey, Dawson, McKenzie, and Edmonds. Central Branch.—Mrs M. G. Black presided. Visitors Included Mrs McCracken (nresident of the Cavershsm branch). Miss Begg gave ’an address on “A Deaconess.” Mrs R. S. Watson read the Scripture from Proverbs xxxi, and Mrs Black gave the thought. Items were given by. Master Brian Park and Miss McCracken. Mrs H. C. Campbell was the accompanist.
