TARGETS IN BURMA

ALLIED AIR ATTACKS RUGBY, Mar. 13. Considerable damage was caused in an attack by escorted Blenheims on a concentration of at least 50 railway wagons at Wuntho station in Burma yesterday, says an Indian communique. Most of the bombs burst on the target, some wagons were blown into the air, and fires were left burning. Successful machine-gun attacks were made by fighters on troop-carrying launches and other river targets. AU of our aircraft returned. An'.earlier communique states: On Thursday R.A.F. Blenheims, escorted by Hurricanes, attacked Japanese positions in the Domhaik area. Bombing was carried out from a low level, and the fighters followed up with a heavy machine-gun attack. Elsewnere fighters shot up enemv river transport and land objectives. The targets. included oil derricks at Yenangyat, which were set on fire, and a small steam launch, which was sunk. One of our aircraft is missing.
