COOL AND CHANGEABLE Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.rn. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Fresh ,to strong south-westerly winds; weather cool and changeable, with occasional showers. Further Outlook.—lmproving. Weather in Dunedin.—The sky was overcast yesterday, and in the evening heavy rain fell. Temperatures were cool. There was a steady breeze from the north-east. The barometer fell throughout the day, the midnight reading being 29.80 inches (1009 millibars). The following are the meteorological observations taken yesterday at the Daily Times Office:—
