DAMAGE TO STORE

The Central Fite Brigade answered a call at 12.14 p.m. yesterday to a brick storehouse in Mason street, owned by the Alliance Bee Supplies Company. The upper floor of the two-storey building and the roof were damaged by the fire, the cause of which is not known. The contents also suffered slight damage. A fire on the embankment near the Kensington railway bridge was attended at 5.12 p.m. The cause was believed to be a spark from a railway engine. A chimney fire in Sidey street was attended at 7.2 p.m.
