PRISONERS AT HONGKONG

MAJORITY TRANSFERRED (Rec; 6,30 p.m.) RUGBY, Jan. 27. Mr A. Henderson, Joint Under-secre-tary for War, told the House of Commons that the majority of the prisoners of war in been transferred. though it was.. probable that some 2000 British and Canadian prisoners and some Indian prisoners remained. The International Red Cross had reported favourably on the camps at the end of October, but later information indicated a deterioration in the rationing and that considerable outbreaks of disease had occurred last summer.
