COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL

A complimentary 'social, arranged by the district executive of Churches of Christ in Dunedin, was given to Mr ,T. Inglis Wright on Monday last. Greetings were conveyed by the Rev. T. Miller (Bible Society), Mr Knight (New Zealand Alliance), Miss M. Benjamin (Rhodesian Mission), Mr R. Ferguson (Kaitangata Church), Pastor W. D. More (Tabernacle Church of Christ, Dunedin), and from church organisations and friends throughout New Zealand. Mr Wright was the recipient of a fireside chair (presented by Mr L. C. J. Dunlop), and his wife was presented with a bouquet. Items were contributed by Miss L. Pile (vocal solo), St. Andrew Street Junior Choir, and Miss T. Waters (cornet solo). Mr A Beadle was the accompanist. At the conclusion Mr Howard Ashworth gave a recital on the Hammond organ.
