OVER NAPLES AGAIN
STRONG BOMBER FORCE VITAL AREAS ATTACKED (Rec. 1 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 16. Heavy bombers of the R.A.F. again raided Naples in force last night. According to a Cairo message a large fire, which broke out east of the storage depots, could be seen for 30 miles. Other bombs fell on the main fire station, the control railway station, and marshalling yards. Bombs also burst in an oil storage depot and the royal naval yards. A raid was also carried out on the Bangoli Steel Works, south-west of the main target. This raid was a great success.
