CONCERT FOR SOLDIERS

The Dunedin Ladies’ Brass Band recently visited one of the militarv camps and gave another of its popular concerts. Mr Hilmer Davie (conductor) had arranged an attractive programme of band music, which included Christmas carols. The band was in good form, and all the items were greatly enjoyed. The novelty drumming by the drummers was outstanding. The assisting performers were Mrs John McFarlane, Bandwomen Jessie Leishman, J. de Crewe. June ana Moira Meenan (vocal solos and duets). Theresa Water's, Ngaire Hemsley (cornet solos), E. Keenan and J. Meenan (cornet duets), and a brass quartette. Mrs T. Kirk-Burnnancl was the accompanist. Second-lieutenant J. Rawlinson. on behalf of the officers, men, and women'll auxiliary, thanked the band and the performers for the entertainment.
