SEA SCOUTS

ANDERSON’S BAY TROOP The nineteenth annual meeting of the Anderson's Bay Sea Scout Troop was held at the troop's headquarters, Vauxhall, last Friday night, and was combined with a demonstration by the Scouts. Moving the adoption of the annual report, the chairman spoke of the troop activities during the past year and of the help given by members of the committee and supporters. Scoutmaster L. Paul and the Cubmistresses, Misses Hanger and Hawkins, reported on the activities of their respective troops. The meeting was then addressed by Commissioner A. Black, who emphasised the necessity to standardise the Sea Scout movement in New Zealand. He spoke of the difficulties of obtaining boats at the present time due to war conditions, Mr J. E. Bartlett was re-elected chairman, and a strong committee was formed from the large number present. Mr J. J Jeffrey was re-elected auditor.
