THE WEATHER
CLOUDY AND COOL Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Moderate to fresh south-easterly winds; weather cloudy, with further drizzle or rain, but improving in the south; temperatures cool. Further Outlook.—lmprovement more general. . .Weather in Dunedin.—A steady, light rain fell for the greater part of yesterday, and there were some heavy showers at night. Temperatures were mild. The barometed showed little improvement, and the reading at midnight was 30.00 inches (1016 millibars). The following are the meteorological observations taken yesterday at the Daily Times Office:—
