.«. —_ COLD AND CHANGEABLE Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather, forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24' hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Fresh to strong south-westerly winds; weather cold and changeable, with passing showers. Further Outlook.—Similar conditions Weather in Dunedin.—Skies were overcast and a light breeze blew from, the north-west for the greater part of yesterday. In tlie evening heavy showers fell, and the wind changed to the south-east. Temperatures were mild. The barometer fell steadily during the morning, but showed a tendency to rise again in the afternoon and evening. The reading at midnight was 29.21 inches (989 millibars). The following are the meteorological observations taken yesterday at the Daily Times Office :
