.«. —_ COLD AND CHANGEABLE Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather, forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24' hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Fresh to strong south-westerly winds; weather cold and changeable, with passing showers. Further Outlook.—Similar conditions Weather in Dunedin.—Skies were overcast and a light breeze blew from, the north-west for the greater part of yesterday. In tlie evening heavy showers fell, and the wind changed to the south-east. Temperatures were mild. The barometer fell steadily during the morning, but showed a tendency to rise again in the afternoon and evening. The reading at midnight was 29.21 inches (989 millibars).
