SHOWERY CONDITIONS Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington : Winds from a westerly quarter, fresh or strong at times; weather cloudy, with occasional rain in the western ranges and some scattered falls elsewhere; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Changeable westerly weather. Weather in Dunedin.— I Though the weather yesterday morning was fine and sunny, steady rain fell In the late afternoon and evening. A light breeze which blew from the north-west in the morning changed to the south-east later in the day. Temperatures were mild. The barometer fell steadily during the day, but began to rise in the evening, the reading at midnight being 29.27 Inches (991 millibars).
