Collection of Scrap Rubber
Enough scrap rubber was collected in the recent national salvage campaign to meet Australia’s requirements for some months, said the Minister of Supply, Mr J. A. Beasley. Up to the middle of October the army and municipal salvage depots received 5202 tons comprising 1117 tons .of miscellaneous scrap, 408,506 scrap tyres, and 2061 scrap tubes.
