THE KING AND QUEEN
.TOUR OF NORTH WALES. (Rec. 0.15 a.m.) LONDON. July 15. Their Majesties, paying their first visit to North Wales since the Coronation, spent seven hours and a-half touring there. They visited a great aircraft factory, where they saw bombers coming from the production line : in heartening numbers. Later they visited the greatest steel sheet rolling plant in the country, where 64-ton ingots are flattened into-a thin sheet of metal used for bomb-fins and other parts. Finally they went over to an artificial silk factory and watched material made for parachutes. Crowds assembled in every village through which their Majesties passed and gave them a most cordial welcome.
