LOCAL BODY RATES

TIME LIMIT FOR RECOVERY EXTENDED

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 16. Regulations were issued to-day extending the time from thx-ee to five years within which local authorities may move to obtain judgment on outstanding rates. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr W. E. Parry, said that the regulations were made to avoid complications in the absence of so many ratepayers with the armed forces.
