(Special) CHRISTCHURCH, July 14. The Stonyhurst Stud suffered a loss yesterday, when Fast Passage died as a result or injuries received through colliding with a post while running in a p'addock. She was bred in 1928. being by The Ace from the Treadmill mare as she won the Winter Cup. New Zealand Cup and Auckland Cup as a four-year-old. At the stud she left Good Passiige, Mauretania and Anchorage, all by Winning Hit, while a yearling colt by Phaleron Bay is due to arrive at Riccarton before long. Mr A. Louisson has had the misfortune to lose a well-grown and gcod-looking yearling brother to Hinepo, by Nightmarch from Azalea. Blood poisoning followed an injury to one of his legs.
