AUSTRALIAN WOMEN
THOUSANDS IN WAR WORK (Rec. 7 p.m.) SYDNEY July 14. Since the beginning of the year 12,000 women have been placed in war work by the New South Wales branch of the National Service Office for Women. They are engaged in the clothing and textile industries, food packing, parachute making, the leather trade, and aircraft production. Eighty thousand women are expected soon to be placed in war work throughout Australia, and the man-power authorities state that there is no lack of applicants.
