ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

FATALLY INJURED BY CAR (P.A.) AUCKLAND, July 14. Knocked down by a motor car on the Great North road a few minutes after he had left his home to-night, an elderly man suffered severe injuries from which he died almost immediately. He was Mr Alfred Meredith Cosslett, aged 60, married, of Western Springs. VISITING SAILOR KILLED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 14. A visiting sailor, Paul Raymond Brown, aged 26, was fatally injured when he and a companion were struck by a tram in Willis street last night. Brown, who was taken to hospital in an unconscious condition, died to-day. The other man was only slightly hurt.
