PRECAUTIONS IN NORWAY
GERMANS FEAR INVASION (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, June 22. The Stockholm correspondent of The Times states that ths German military authorities in Norway, as the latest precaution against invasion, have ordered all motor vehicles throughout the country, including doctors' cars, to muster at specified points for inspection and eventual requisition. The Germans have already issued evacuation instructions to inhabitants on the coast, who must go to an inland address on a signal. The Berlin correspondent of the Social Demokraten says that the Germans have banned entry into big areas around Narvik and Tromsoe. Anyone entering without a permit will be shot. ATTITUDE OF NORWEGIANS WOULD JOIN INVADERS (Rec. 9 p.m.) OTTAWA, June 22. If the Allies invade Norway and take arms for the population all male Norwegians will join the invading forces, said the Norwegian Prime Minister, Mr J. Nygaardsvold. He added that only occasional information was being received from Norway. It appeared that the situation was bad and was getting worse. The absolute suppression of all liberty of action, as well as fresdom of speech and the press, were the worst features, he added.
