MEETING WITH ROYALTY
DOMINION AIRMEN IN INDIA
CALCUTTA, June 22.
Four New Zealand pilots serving in India met the Duke of Gloucester when he visited an R.A.P. station near Calcutta. They were Flying Officer Edgar Pevreal, 'of Putaruru, who is credited with shooting down one Japanese plane over Singapore; Pilot Officer A. A. Cooper, of Wanganui. and Sergeant Pilot W. Christiansen, of Christchurch, both of whom served in Burma; and Sergeant E. Cochrane, of North Auckland, who destroyed a Messerschmitt 109 while serving in England.
