CRIMES AT WHANGAREI
(P.A.) WHANGAREI, June 23. Two unusual crimes were committed at Whangarei in the space of half an hour last night. A bedroom in a boarding house was set on fire and a smash-and-grab raid was made on a jeweller's shop, the plate glass window being shattered and the contents stolen.
