NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the West Harbour Borough Council, pursuant to the powers vested in it by " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, will, at an ORDINARY MEETING of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Rothesay, on TUESDAY, the 7th day of JULY! 1942, MAKE- AND LEVY the following RATES for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1942, and endine the 31st day of MARCH, 1943—viz.: 1. A GENERAL RATE under Section 77 of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," of SIX AND ONE-HALF PENCE (6Jd) in the Pound (£) on the Unimproved Value of all Rateable Property within the Borough of West Harbour. 2 A SEPARATE RATE to be kown as " The Hospital Rate," under Section 52 oE " The Hospital and Charitable Aid Institutions Act, 1926," of SIXPENCE (6d) in the Pound (£) on the Annual Value of all Rateable Property within the Borough of West Harbour. 3. A WATER RATE under Section 82 of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," in respect to the ordinary supply as follows:—That is to say, upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied the Rateable Value of which does not exceed £l2 10s, the sum of TEN SHILLINGS (10s), ,where the Annual Value exceeds £l2 10s a Rate of TENPENCE (lOd) in the Pound (£) upon . all such lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not, supplied, situated within one hundred yards (100yds) of any part of the Waterworks, and upon all buildings used as stores, etc., or for anv purpose than a house, a Rate of Half that above within the Ravent,bourne and Rothesay Wards. 4. A LIGHTING RATE under Section 8.9 of " The Municipal Corporations Act 1933," of FOURPENCE (4d) in the Pound (£) on the Annual Value of all Rateable Property within the Ravensbourne and Rothesay Wards, and SIXPENCE (6d) in the Pound (£) on the Annual Value of all Rateable Property within the St. Leonards Ward. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the VALUATION ROLL IS NOW OPEN FOii INSPECTION to .interested persons during office hours.
