Owing to breaking down in her last race, Mac's Jimmy has been " fired " and will require a spell after the treatment. The imported horse Peterwah, who put up a trotting record of 4min 23 4-ssec at Addington, has been making good at the stud in Australia. Hilda Potts, who is claimed to be the best two-year-old of the season, will have a chance to establish superiority next season, as she holds an engagement in the Great Northern Derby. Attached to the Metropolitan Trotting Club's August programme is the statement: " Owing to present conditions, the holding of the meeting is uncertain and the committee reserves the right to alter or abandon the programme." Doll Axworthy is being marked oft" as one likely to improve next season. The Travis Axworthy mare has a good turn of speed, and with experience should settle down to winning form. Kenworthy, who went 4min 15 3-ssec when second to Josedale Grattan in the Trotting Cup, has been turned out for a long spell. Kenworthy is only 14.2, but as he has won £4690 in stakes is every inch a racehorse.
