SCOTTISH SOCIETY
The monthly social and dance of the Scottish Society of Dunedin was held in the Victoria Hall on Saturday, when a large number- of members and friends were present. The executive members were piped to the platform by the official piper, Mr Harold Crawford. The past president (Mr E. MacKenzie) introduced the new president, Mr W. Brown, and the chairman, Mr S. Hill. Mr W. Brown occupied the chair and extended a; welcome to members and friends and to MiCameron, an executive member ot trie Mansfield Caledonian Society, of Auckland. Items were given by the orchestra of the 3rd Battalion, Otago Regiment, vocal, cornet, saxophone, and xylophone solos by bandsmen, an Irish nig £y Misses Norma Stewart and Norma Nicholls, and a sean triubhais and Highland fling by Miss Jessie Brown. Pipe music was supplied by Master Airdrie Stewart, and the M.C.'s were Messrs J- T. Ramsay and J. Barclay. On the motion of Mr W. P. Smith, a vote of thanks was accorded the performers.
