Mrs A. Leslie Wall, of Wellington, will arrive to-day to visit her mother, Mrs R. A. Ewing, of Mayfair Court. Mrs J- L. Hazlett, who has been the guest of Mrs W. Fraser Edmond, returned yesterday to Invercargill. A report that large demands had been made on VA.D. personnel, more than 60 being on duty at the casualty clearing station, besides numbers at Trentham, Otaki, and Wellington Hospitals, was made by the instructional sister at the monthly meeting of the Wellington Sub-centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society. It was also stated that women VA.'s had reported for duty at the Wellington, Trentham, Otaki, Central Park, and Red Cross Hospitals. Other members were helping in clerical work, surgical dressing, and the packing of prisoner-of-war parcels.
