MACANDREW BAY ORPHANS' CLUB

The 1942 season of the Macandrew Bay Orphans' Club was ushered in last Saturday night with a bright programme. The president (Bro. R. Stuart Glendining) Welcomed Bros. P. W. Stabb and R. Bryant of the Dunedin Orphans' Club and a good number of visitors. The attendance of members was very encouraging and augurs well for the success of the season. During the evening six new members were initiated and the nominations of four others were received. The items given included songs (Mr Marks and Bro. Bryant), banjo solo (Bro. R. Harrington), piano solo (Bro. P. McKay), recitation (Bro. J. P. Vivian), and items by the orchestra. Mr Nicholson supplied the accompaniments. Soldiers' Night will be held on June 27.
