HIGH RATE IN AMERICA WASHINGTON, (Rec. 10 p.m.) June 16. The British Minister of Production, Captain Oliver Lyttelton, is obviously impressed with the speed of America's war production. He disclosed, after conferring with President Roosevelt, that a single American firm will be turning out weapons at the rate of 4.000,000 dollars' worth a year by the end of 1942. Captain Lyttelton illustrated the unnamed company's gigantic scope by pointing out that it was equivalent to building the Panama Canal every six weeks.
