WAITAKI OLD GIRLS
The tenth annual meeting of the Waitaki High School Old Girls' Association was held at the Rialto on Saturday, May 30, when 24 members were present. Mrs Duncan, president, occupied the chair and opened proceedings with a few words of welcome to Miss C. Ferguson, patroness, and members, including three new members. The secretary read several letters from old girls and relatives of members serving overseas who had received parcels fram the association. She addr.d that £.12 lis 9d had been spent during the year for these parcels. It was decided to use the " War Effort" collections in the same way during the coming year. The meeting decided to grant a further £2 2s to purchase prizes for the school if a prize-giving was held this year. ' A
" War Effort" collection was taken and amounted to 275.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patroness, Miss C. Ferguson: president, Mrs R. Duncan; vice-presidents. Mesdames B. Kirkland and H. F. Sincock; secretary and treasurer. Miss A. Mclnnes; committee—Mesdames Sievwright, Pottinger, Hoskin Misses Pile and Irving; auditor, Miss R. Burton; publicity officer, Mrs W. E.' Tait; delegate to combined service group, Mrs R. Duncan.
