TROTTING NOTES
By Sentinel R. B. Berry has now trained 18 classic winners. Free Again, the winner of the Great Northern Stakes on Saturday, is by Jack Potts from Free Advice, and a sister to Horsepower, who won the same event in 1937. Cabin Boy, the winner of the Eastbourne Handicap, was making his first appearance in a race. He is a five-year-old by Jack Potts from Sheila Fleetwood, and Is one of P. Gallagher's team. Hargood's Pride, the winner of the Autumn Handicap at Hutt Park, is a three-year-old by Jack Potts from Hermes, and gave the impression that he will develop into a more than useful performer. Bronze Eagle won the Wellington Cup decisively, and was apparently improved by his racing at Addington. He looks sure to step his way into the best classes. Age has apparently not yet taken the edge from Our Peggy's speed, as she beat some smart sprinters in the Wairarapa Handicap. She is 11 years of age, and is by Our Thorpe from Flora Elmo.
