RADIO ASSOCIATION

The annual meeting of (he Otago Radio Association was held last night. Mr R, Bruce presiding over a small attendance of members.

The twentieth annual report stated that station 4ZD now had two complete transmitters in working order, both of which were used regularly throughout the week. The National Broadcasting Service yearly subsidy of £lO6 had enabled the station to continue its activities. It was reported that Mrs Gourley ("Judy") had now rejoined the station .staff as an active member. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows:—Patron. Mr J. L. Passmore; president. Mr R. Bruce: vice-presidents, Mr A. G. McCarthy and Mr R. T. Stedman; secretary-treasurer, Mr D. G. Mitchell; committee —Misses B. Gallien and J. Richards, Mrs R. Selman, Messrs G. Adams. M. T. Leech. N. George. M. Kenwick and G. Henderson: station director, Mr D. G. Mitchell.
