MANCHESTER UNITY

Recent meetings of lodges throughout the district have been of an interesting nature, and the attendances have been good. An ever-increasing number of past officers are coming forward to fill vacancies created by members having joined the forces. Co-operative action is being taken also by lodge officers to maintain efficiency. Tlie customary round of visits by newly-appointed executive officers is in progress. Card tournaments have been hold recently and functions conducted by Loyal Princess Mary. Albion, Dunedin, and Hand and Heart Lodges have been well patronised. Loyal Caversham is enjoying remarkable attendances, and Loyal Valley, lliough not so well attended, has experienced interesting meetings. Arrangements have been completed for the Anzac memorial, when the speaker wil’ be the Rev. Mr Sullivan. A strong concert party is in process of formation, and will entertain at, the official visit to Loyal Hand and Heart early in June.
