Herne Bay, Auckland. , McQuitty, Leading Aircraftman Albert Edward. R.A.F., previously reported missing, death now officially presumed by the Air Ministry as in February, 1941; father, Mr J. McQuitty, 241 Main road, Ravensbourne. Taylor. Sergeant Ronald West, R.N.Z.A.F.., previously reported missing believed 1 killed, death now officially presumed by Air Ministry as in July; father, Mr A. S. Taylor, 17 Knowles street, Christchurch. Vaughan, Flight Lieutenant Richard John, D.F.C., R.A.F., previously reported ■ missing believed killed, death now officially presumed by Air Ministry as in December; father, Mr M. Vaughan, 306 Southampton street, Hastings. NAVAL CASUALTIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Mar. 2. The following naval casualties were announced to-day:— Paterson, Leading Seaman Robert Murray, missing, presumed killed: father, Mr R. S. Paterson. Kennlngton, Southland. Hartnell, Able Seaman Edmund Saxelby, missing: mother. Mrs Florence A. Kerr, Wellington, Green, Ordinary Seaman Sydney Clarence, now dangerously ill as the result of being seriously wounded (as previously reported): mother. Mrs Emily E. Green'. Wanganui.
