VICE-REGAL TOUR

RECEPTION AT FEILDING (P.A.) FEILDING, Feb. 24. The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, and Lady Newall arrived last night on an official visit to Feilding, and were met by the Mayor, Mr T. L. Seddon. The Home Guard, under Major Little, formed a guard of honour. The large parade included the Horrte Guard, all sections of the E.P.S., the Women's War Service Auxiliary, the Red Cross and St. John Ambulance, the fire brigade and auxiliary firemen, the Boy Scouts and the Girl Guides. Their Excellencies inspected the parade and were later entertained at an informal supper. To-day their Excellencies were accorded a civic welcome by the Mayor, Mr T. L. Seddon, and representatives of the borough and county councils and of the Maori race. They were afterwards entertained at a civic luncheon, and later took their departure.
