DOUBLE-FEATURE PROGRAMME When the perfect detective runs across the perfect crime, anything is liable to happen. " Ellery Queen and the Perfect Crime," which heads the new programme at the Grand Theatre to-day, combines romance, suspense, and thrills. Produced by Columbia, the film is another of the entertaining series based upon the deductive exploits of the famous fiction and radio detective. It concerns the death of a financier who has betrayed the confidence of his associates and friends, and is found in his study with a knife in his chest. The solution of the mystery by Ellery Queen (Ralph Bellamy) make axciting film fare, which reaches an unusual and brilliant climax. Margaret Lindsay is co-starred with Bellamy. The associate picture, " Rio Grande," is an action-filled western, with Charles Starrett, Ann Doran, and the Sons of the Pioneers.
