LADY GALWAY GUILD
Meeting of Conveners.— A meeting of conveners of branches of the New Zealand Lady Galway Guild in the city area was held yesterday morning, the Mayoress (Mrs A. H. Allen) presiding. Matters connected with the resumption of work at the depots were discussed, and it was decided to appeal for oddments of material suitable for making into garments, quilts, etc., for the relief of distress in Great Britain. The Mayoress announced that 1165 cases of goods had been shipped from Otago to the High Commissioner in London, and a further consignment was awaiting shipment. North Dunedin Guild.— Members of the Dunedin North Lady Galway Guild will meet on Monday, February 9. at 2.30 p.m., in Knox Sunday School buildings, when plans tor the .year’s work will be discussed. All finished work, also material for making up, may be handed in. Interested friends will be welcome.
