Enemy Bomber Shot Down An enemy bomber was shot down into the sea off the east coast of England by R.A.F. fighters on Monday afternoon. An Air Ministry communique states that the enemy dropped bombs at two points on the east coast of England and at a place in the east of Scotland. Some damage was done and there was a small number of casualties. Prisoners of War in Japan
The Red Cross organisation at New York announced that as soon as arrangements had been completed it would send a shipload of food from Australia to Japan for American and other prisoners of war there.
