CONDITIONS IMPROVING Forecast for Otago.—The following is the official weather forecast for Otago for the ensuing 24 hours, issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Fresh south-westerly winds, later turning to the north-west and north and decreasing; a few showers at first, with cooler temperatures, but conditions rapidly improving and temperatures rising. Further Outlook.—Westerly weather prevailing again. Weather in, Dunedin. —The weather in Dunedin yesterday was fine until early in the evening, when rain began to fall. Earlier the sky was overcast, there was little wind, and temperatures were warm. There was some sunshine. The maximum temperature reading was 80deg, and barometric pressure fell slightly to 29.601 n (1002 millibars). The reading at midnight was 29.70 in (1006 millibars).
