HUSBAND CHARGED
— ATTEMPTED MURDER OF WIFE ALLEGED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 16. . A sequel to the bedside court held at the hospital yesterday was the appearance in the Police Court to-day of William Weir, aged 20, a labourer, on a charge of attempting to murder his wife at Otahuhu on January 14. On the application of the police, Weir was remanded to appear in the Police Court to-morrow morning. No further evidence from the wife was taken to-day.
