Ift. that the 'Wometo'B War Service Auxiliary, should., provide assistance for wives in cases of hardship caused by married men being called up were made by members of the Christchurch Man-power Committee during the hearing of an appeal to-day. 7 I?he appeal was by Mrs L. Snook, who sought the release. of her husband, ■ a volunteer territorial, who was called up o» December 15. - .The appellant wrote stating that-she had two very small children and had beeii, Very, ill since their birth. It was a great hardship for-her to cany on alone..' She had advertised for help, but no replies.
