SING AND CONCERT

The South Dunedin Town Hall was filled by a highly appreciative audience on Saturday night, when a combined communitysing and concert was held under the auspices of the Labour Campaign Committee of the Dunedin Central electorate. The sing was led by Mr R. McKenzie, and those who contributed to the concert portion of the programme were the Technical College orchestra (conducted by Dr T. V. Griffiths), pupils of the Happy Feet Club and Miss Nola Laurence in tap and toe dancing. Misses Deslys McKenzie, Leone Cornish and Evelyn Bovett (songs), Messrs Reuli Roper (musical saw and piano-accor-dion) and R. Wilson (magical display) and Master Dave Christenson (cornet solos). The accompaniments were shared by Mrs Pat McNamara and Miss Mavis Raper.
