FATALLY BURNED

ELDERLY MAN TRAPPED CENTRE OF BLAZING GORSE (P.A.) HAMILTON, Dec. 4. Trapped in a blazing area of gorse at Frankton yesterday, Mr William Henry Isdale, aged 63 years, received burns from which he succumbed last night. Isdale was burning off gorse. and had lit several fires; and with the freshening of the wind, he became trapped in the centre of blazing gorse and fern. The brigade was summoned to cope with the fire, and with the abatement of the flames, Mr Isdale escaped* with the clothing burnt completely off him.
